Bob Boving began his career in radio and moved to television in 1984, when he became the voice of the CBC Television Network in Canada for 17 years,voicing promos, trailers, documentaries, sports and national news intros in the hundreds of thousands until his departure in 2001. The voice of satellite channels “Trio” and “Newsworld International”, he was heard on ESPN as the live announcer on the NHL Awards for 11 years.
You’ve also heard Bob on The History Channel, narrating the series,“Barbarians II”. Also, “Great Moments in NCAA Football”, heard on Sport Channels across the country, as well as on promos for CBS’s “Big BangTheory”, DirecTV’s “Ultimate Fighting Championship”, “NFL SundayTicket”, The CW’s “Beauty and The Geek” and in Canada, the Promo Voice of TV Ontario.
Other credits include video game narrations for the “Horton Hears A Who”DVD, various characters on Teletoon’s “Life’s A Zoo”, trailers for “MortalKombat VS. DC Universe, “Metal Gear Solid 3”, “The Legend Of BloodyMary” as well as thousands of instructional, motivational and corporate videos for clients as varied as Dupont, BMW, Nike, Dupont, Stihl,Fremantle Media, Forbes, Computer Associates, Pittsburgh Paint, Nestle,US Steel, The Dairy Farmers of America and The Cleveland Clinic.
