Feature Film Looking For Talent in Joplin, Missouri and Surrounding Areas
TONYA S. HOLLY AVAILABLE FOR INTERVIEWS WITH SELECT MEDIA

February 28, 2011, Joplin, MO – Filmmaker Tonya S. Holly of Cypress Moon Productions (www.cypressmoonproduction.com) is holding an open casting call for extras to appear in her new feature film The Story of Bonnie and Clyde. The film, which is scheduled to begin pre-production in late April of this year, will be shot partly in Joplin, MO and surrounding cities, as well as cities in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

Men, women, and children ten years of age and up are invited to stop by the Holiday Inn Joplin Convention Center Hotel and Spa located at 3615 Range Line Road in Joplin, MO 64804 (just off of Interstate 44) on March 5th, 2011 between the hours of 12:00pm - 4:00pm for their chance to be chosen for an extra role in the film. All interested parties must bring their photo, contact information and/or resume. People who are not available to attend may mail their information to Cypress Moon Studios at 1000 Alabama Avenue, Sheffield, AL 35660. A session for speaking roles will take place in the near future.

"We look forward for production to begin on The Story of Bonnie and Clyde and we are excited to look for talent from Joplin and its surrounding areas to appear in the film," said Holly, who wrote the original screenplay that she will direct and produce.

Holly selected Joplin after scouting the apartment that Bonnie and Clyde used as a hideout, where two officers were killed in 1933. Also, after her visit to the Joplin area, Holly discovered several sites that would possibly work for one of her upcoming films, The Chocolate Is Under The Bed.

The Story of Bonnie and Clyde is a new adaptation of the classic love story which tells the thrilling story of the notorious fugitives. Taking place during the 1930’s Depression, the film follows the exploits of Bonnie and Clyde, uncovering many times in their lives that have never before been seen on the big screen. The film is set to star Hilary Duff as Bonnie Parker and Kevin Zegers as Clyde Barrow.

Previously Holly wrote, produced and directed the feature film When I Find The

Ocean. Shot in Alabama and Tennessee, the award-winning film When I Find the Ocean is a full length feature set in 1965. The film follows the dream of a little girl, Lily Strickland, and her adventure to find the ocean. The film stars Lee Majors (The Six Million Dollar Man, The Fall Guy), Diane Ladd (Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore), Graham Greene (Dances With Wolves), Richard Tyson (Kindergarten Cop), George Lindsey (The Andy Griffith Show) Bernie Casey (Another 48 Hours), Amy Redford (Strike the Tent) and Lily Matland Holly. The film is distributed by Monterey Media, and is currently available on DVD.
Tonya S. Holly is the owner and President of Cypress Moon Studios. Cypress Moon’s main studio, located in Sheffield, AL, was formerly known as Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, where such music legends as Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, Greg Allman, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Paul Simon have recorded, among many others.
