Congrats to Talent Unlimited actor Kevin Brief! He was awarded "Best Lead Male Actor" at the 2011 LA Weekly Awards.
Kevin was awarded for the role of "Detective Sgt Francis Kelly" in the play A Prayer For My Daughter. The play was at Crown City Theater Company in North Hollywood in the Spring 2010.

Heart of America Shakespeare Festival
If you, or anyone you know, loves the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival, please consider joining us as a Festival FAN by May 4, and help us meet this CHALLENGE GRANT! It will ensure the Festival's future. 1,000 new FANS will DOUBLE the value of their donation!!!!
Approaching its 19th glorious season, the award-winning Heart of America Shakespeare Festival–staged FREE each summer for the people of Kansas City and surrounds -- is a few thousand shillings short of funds needed to put on a full-scale production of Macbeth, June 14 – July 3 in Southmoreland Park.
Feeling “necessity’s sharp pinch” thus prompts us to shake the basket for contributions. Funds raised between now and May 4th will determine the quality and future of Heart of America Shakespeare Festival productions.
We need 1,000 generous and inwardly beautiful people to become Festival FANS by donating $100. Thanks to an incredible and timely challenge grant from the John C. Griswold Foundation, your donation will be DOUBLED if you join by May 4. Plus you will receive two FREE reserved seats for the 2011 production of Macbeth.
