Nettie Wells Dollhouse

Talent Unlimited actress Maycee Steele will be featured in a preview of Kansas City's new exhibit, Nettie Wells Dollhouse: A Family at Play at the Toy and Miniature Museum for her portrayal of Nettie Wells. The preview will be aired on Thursday, April 5th at 7:30pm on channel 19.1 HD, on KCPT's primetime public and cultural affairs program, THE LOCAL SHOW.

The exhibit centers on Nettie Wells, a real girl who grew up in the 19th century in Kansas City, and the many life lessons she learned while playing with the dollhouse her father made for her.

On Saturday, April 7th from 12 pm - 4 pm, the Museum will host a special event that will bring Nellie’s story to life through interactive tours, a make-your-own dollhouse workshop and the portrayal of Nettie, by young actor Maycee Steele. Experience a slice of life in the 1880s through the magic of one girl’s dollhouse, just one of the many tiny treasures, for boys and girls, young and old alike, at the Toy & Miniature Museum, located on the UMKC campus, just a few blocks south of the Plaza.
